Answers Answers

From the womb come the questions
There they begin, they manifest, a manacle that countless remain unanswered.
The toddler inquisitive of colour and dragons
and the teenager asking ‘why not?’ and ‘what next’
as the parent is querying the reason
and the pensioner wanting to know when and how it changed.
Yet has anyone the answer? Who has the right and indeed who is right?
Here they come again, what a burden.
Rather, comfort should lie in the unremitting, ubiquitous torrent of questions that will always remain unanswerable, leave them alone
Relish in it.
Answers, now that’s the fear - it is in the sole direction we go.
Try not to grasp at the answers, leave them alone,
as the only answerable question throughout our existence is inevitable death.
